A pair of ladies vintage elegant black silk satin shoes, with fancy stitching, c. 1905, to possibly as late as 1920.

The shoes have a strap, with a black mother of pearl type button.  There is decorative stitching across the strap and circling upper shoe edge. Lining is soft black kid leather, with fabric near the toe.  Heel is the French Louis style.

There is a label stamped inside, but all I can really make out is;  New York & Chicago.  Shoe size is also stamped in gold on black leather interior;

Please keep in mind however, that although the size does appear to be approximately as indicated, we are not exactly sure how marked size information compares to our modern sizes, so please review measurements above for additional details.

The shoes are in good overall condition. They have been worn, but not excessively, with just a tiny bit more wear to one leather heel guard, than the other.

A few marks to interiors, but really quite clean. There is one tear to the satin on the left shoe near sole, but this does not go thru to interior, so satin could be be mended/patched.  Scuffs and abrasions to satin on heels, however this really doesn't show because of dark color.
In our last image we have shown the shoe with the slight exterior satin blem, but for some unknown reason the front of the shoe appears rather faded when it is not.
A very elegant and attractive pair of vintage shoes.
