This antique, early Edwardian, c. 1903 - 1911 lace Brassiere has never been worn and still retains the original Warner's tag ~ label.  It is high quality, fine smooth ecru cotton, embellished with pretty coordinating lace that appears to be a handmade bobbin type, most likely Bedfordshire or Torchon.  It features boning that is quite flexible.  Metal hook and eye front closure with garter strap.  Stamped inside front: size 34 and style number 887. Original tag reads:  Warner's Rust-Proof Brassiere  -  Cotton Brassiere Made In US America.

There is a somewhat similar period garment called a corset cover, however it was designed to fit somewhat looser than this particular piece, which is definitely a bra, albeit a forerunner to what we are familiar with today.

This foundation under garment appears to have never been worn or washed.  It is extremely nice antique estate condition.  We see no holes, tears, snags, wear, etc., to either the cotton or the lace.  Seams and  boning are very good.  All hooks and eyes present.   We did find two very tiny specks, one to each side, which we have shown in close up image below.  I expect  laundering will resolve.

Overall a very nice lingerie undergarment.  Early examples such as this, in excellent unworn condition are becoming exceedingly difficult to find.  A great piece for the lingerie ~ corset collector.
