A very attractive vintage Retro era large sterling silver flapjack compact, featuring a wonderful brushed rose, silver and gold tone finish, c. 1940's.

This compact has never been used and remains in exceptional condition.  It has been stored, seemingly undisturbed for almost 70 years in the original fabric lined, gold trimmed box.

Original powder puff and sifter are also present.

Even the original black and silver foil ~ Sterling ~ sticker remains affixed to mirror.

As stated the compact is in new, unused condition.  There is just a hint of clouding to the lower edge of the mirror, as well as two tiny age/storage related specks to sifter, otherwise this fine vanity boudoir accessory is perfect.   The box is also very nice with some minor edge bumps, general light overall darkening to exterior, with very slight verdigris to gold metallic trim..

This fine vintage compact is not even tarnished, it likely appears just as shiny and nice as when placed in the box all those many years ago.
