This antique white linen damask tablecloth is all hand stitched, with hand made lace,
c. 1900 - 1915.
It is a harder to find large square, with two rows of nice hand made crochet type
lace. The inner row of lace measures apx. 5 inches and the border edge more than
8 inches.
The damask linen has a subtle pattern that appears to be circles of ivy.
The cloth
is completely hand hemmed, with lace hand stitched to it.
The tablecloth was clean, but I laundered and pressed it again, so it is fresh and
perfectly white.
Both the linen and lace are in extremely nice condition. We noted
no holes, wear or stains to linen; just one tiny dark speck at lower hem edge. Lace
is in beautiful condition. We did not note any snags, breaks, etc.
