A really attractive matching pair of antique, very fine pure linen, white fancy show pillow shams or cases, c. 1890 - 1910.

These are envelope style pillowcases, featuring beautiful white satin stitch embroidery and cutwork, surrounding a very well done, ornate script monogram; M.  The fold over flap is further decorated with edge scallops, finished with same fine white satin stitch embroidery.

The shams are in excellent condition, with no stains, holes, snags, rust or any other problem.  They are really lovely, high quality, fine antique cases.
