A very nice, long length of unused antique silk ribbon, featuring an attractive white and lavender or light purple color combination.   Accenting each side of the lavender stripes is a raised edging, which gives the ribbon a nice dimensional effect.

Wide ribbon such as this example were often used in Victorian and Edwardian periods as sash belts and other adornments.

This ribbon is in exceptionally nice antique estate condition.  Near one end there is a very small, apx. 1/2 inch long and pin head wide, slightly rough, narrow line that appears to be an extremely minor original flaw in the silk.  Aside from this the ribbon appears excellent and very strong, with no evidence of distress, holes, rips, tears, stains or spots.  It is a continuous length, with an extra little tail of several inches at one end that I did not measure.  See second image.

If you collect vintage and antique ribbons and passementerie trims this is an excellent condition example, in a very desirable color combination.
