A very fine continuous length of unused antique metallic lace, probably originating in France.

The floral and foliage pattern design is somewhat unusual and rather different than the more commonly found motifs.

This flounce is in very nice antique estate condition.  It appears unused.  We see no rips or holes.  A few tiny loose threads on the scalloped edge.   When we found this lace it was rolled, seemingly stored this way for many years.  Subsequently there is no weakness at fold lines, etc. and the entire length of lace feels strong and very useable.

The color has mellowed to a rich bronze gold hue, most accurately shown in first image.  (These photos were taken in bright, direct sunlight.)

If you enjoy antique and vintage French lame lace and passementerie trims this is a very nice condition, usable length of lace, perfect for any number of projects.
