A very nice, vintage all sterling silver letter opener, manufactured by S. Kirk & Son Inc in the Repousse pattern;  a dense multi-motif floral design on stippled ground.

According to our resource information this mark was used from apx. 1925 - 1932, so this is definitely a quality, older production vintage desk accessory.
Apparently this opener was made in two sizes and this example is the larger version.

This knife features the repousse pattern design on both sides of the handle and it has never been monogrammed.
It is in very nice vintage estate condition, with no dings or dents.  There is one very tiny, slightly rough spot on the blade and some light surface scratches commensurate with age and careful use.  The multi - motif floral repousse pattern design remains quite defined.
