This is a large antique sterling silver bowl in the ornate repousse floral Violet pattern, manufactured by  Gorham Whiting, c.1905 - 20.

The bowl is in good condition, but commensurate with age and use it does have some small pings here and there, as well as one light line mark to bottom, possibly caused by light pressure from a knife or similar object.  Nothing readily apparent, just visible upon extremely close inspection.

The bowl is beautifully monogrammed in script with what appears to be two letters, maybe; ID or AD ?

Hollowware in the Violet pattern was discontinued years ago and is now becoming quite hard to find.
