A very fine antique repousse sterling silver toed / footed salver or tray, manufactured
by S Kirk and Son Co,
c. 1903 ~ 1907.
This early example features high relief floral and foliage repousse, accented with
a leafy, foliate edge detail.
Tray middle is decorated in a crosshatch and four point star design, centered with
an aesthetic wreath cartouche.
The salver is elevated with three very finely detailed ball and claw toes, or feet.
This is a very well made, substantial antique salver, weighing a considerable 6.06
Troy ounces.
It is extremely nice estate condition, with no dings, dents or repairs and sits perfectly
level, with no wobbles, or other problems of any kind.
Cartouche is monogrammed in a very ornate fancy script that is difficult to decipher,
possibly; FTL.
Kirk salvers are becoming harder to find, especially the early, heavy, finely detailed
antique examples such as this.
