Hallmark: Jenkins & Jenkins, Sterling
Size: Length; 8 & 1/4 inches, Bowl; 3 & 1/2 x 3 inches
Quantity: 1
This is a very nice large sterling silver shell bowl serving spoon, in the Repousse
pattern, manufactured by Jenkins and Jenkins, successors to Jacobi and Jenkins, Jacobi
& Co, A. Jacobi, respectively.
Jenkins & Jenkins used this mark between c. 1908 ~ 1915, so this is definitely a
quality older production .serving piece.
The shell bowl is uncommonly large and quite deep; a rather rare and harder to find
design in any of the repousse patterns.
It is made from substantial sterling and is quite heavy; weight is a considerable
2.89 troy ounces.
Reverse is monogrammed, appears to be; MCY.
This spoon is in exceptionally nice estate condition, with no dings, dents, damage
or repairs.
Many of the Repousse patterns coordinate well together: Kirk, Stieff, Schofield,
Hennegan Bates.
